Change

I wanted change and true change required risk…it required action. It required facing fear. So I changed the way I lived. I took chances and made changes and followed my heart. I did it AFRAID. To begin living life like this way was the best decision I ever made...was never a happy person…but can boldly say today with these changes made am the happiest on earth...lol. I’m not saying to be reckless and go around gambling with huge life decisions. But am saying that sometimes you need to do things in life even if you’re afraid. It just may lead you to something AMAZING…..STAY UP AND STAY BLESSED

Salt Assault


Think you know where sodium is hiding and how it kills? Look again…
We eat nearly twice the sodium we should. We can do that without touching the salt shaker.

WHY THE CONCERN?
It is more than the risk of high Blood Pressure and subsequent heart disease and stroke that prompted mom to hide the shaker from dad 20 years ago. Excessive sodium is now linked to other illness such as Cancer and kidney stones. All we need is a little bit about 200mg a day to keep fluids in balanced (1/12 of a teaspoon = 200mg).

So, here are the 10 most dangerous mistakes men make when it comes to getting six pack abs. If you make these 10 mistakes it’ll be incredibly hard and frustrating to get abs, and you probably will never get them at all. If you do learn these mistakes getting abs will be much easier, and you’ll start seeing abdominal definition more quickly than you could imagine.



  • Mistake 1

Doing sit ups and crunches to get a six-pack.  Abs exercises only build the abs muscles — they don’t get rid of fat that’s covering it. In fact, doing too many abs exercises actually has a negative effect when it comes to slimming your waistline.  When you work on your abs too much, the muscle gets really big and bulgy and actually makes your waist BIGGER. The only way to get rid of fat on our stomach is to allow our body to convert it into energy and use it.   Doing crunches and sit ups is not intense enough for our bodies to have to break down fat because the abdominal muscle so small compared to using a larger muscle group like our legs.  You need to concentrate on burning the fat before you start building up abdominal muscle – otherwise you’re just bulking up your beer gut.

Perspective


It is such an important concept to understand and apply. 
When my alarm goes off at 4:30 each morning I freeze, still dark out I could easily dread that I have to get up that early to head out to the gym, taken to consideration got work and class too. In fact I used to be that way, but now that FITNESS is my lifestyle, I have a different mindset. I am eager to wake up and chase after my dreams and my goals. Exercise makes me alive. 

It is a blessing to be able to be healthy enough to hit the gym and get my sweat on. When you start to change your perspective to be positive, it really changes everything, I have better workouts, I wake up and chase my dreams and every morning I choose to make it a GOOD MORNING. This morning was no exception. Amazing workout, Amazing Life and INSANITY does the whole trick…DAY 4 down the 60 days challenge…Not as difficult as you may think. 

Set a goal, make a plan, follow the plan, stay focused and be disciplined. The rewards will come from your work. You get out as much as you put in. Seeing other peoples bodies and progress can be motivating but what’s more motivating is seeing your own body and your own progress…will keep you posted weekly on my INSANITY progress.

Shoulder & Calf Day



Can I just say how good it feels to be back on track? Agh! Woke up eager to blast my shoulder and calf…Amazing workout
SHOULDER: Dumbbell Shoulder Press, Deltoid Raises, Military Press (Machine) and side Lateral raises
CALF: Standing Calf Raise, Seated dumbbell Calf Raises and Smith Machine calf raises
I sweet out tons of sodium and toxins and top it up with my green smoothies…Day 2 of the Green Smoothie Challenge……Am back on my A game today….UNSTOPPABLE

Don’t Wish for it Work for it!


This chica got down on some CHEST and TRI’s. Honestly I am trying really hard to pump myself up…Because Chest and Tri’s are my Weakness. 

Isn’t it funny how we tend to not like the things that aren’t our strong points? That makes it just still that “more important” to focus on those areas...I wish to get better. I will go after it and get better…..later gators…stay up and stay blessed.

Without those things you wouldn’t be you. And why would you want to be someone else? Be confident with who you are…SMILE it will draw people in. If anyone hates on you because you are happy with yourself, then stick your middle finger in the air and say “screw it” LOL My happiness will not depend on others anymore. Ginger Relieves Muscle Pain


Ginger relieves muscle pain is one of the reasons why I add lots of them to my smoothie as a post workout meal. It gives me an opportunity to eat raw ginger.

For thousands of years, ginger has been used as a medicine in the treatment of nausea. But ginger has many more medicinal properties. One study recently published in The Journal of Pain, finds that daily doses of ginger are effective for relieving muscle pain following strenuous exercise.

Researchers from the University of Georgia and Georgia College and State University followed 74 student volunteers who performed 18 assigned exercises daily for 11 consecutive days while taking ginger supplements. The students were divided into three groups, each of which was given either raw ginger, heated ginger or a placebo.

While the authors expected that heated ginger would be more effective than the raw, the results showed both versions similarly beneficial in reducing the level of muscle pain by 23 to 25 percent.

Holy Mother of Back and Bi


These suckers are on … did an entire new workout for Back and Biceps today; 

BACK: Pull ups, Pull downs, Dumbbell rows and seated rows. 6 set of 12 reps 

BICEPS: Standing curls, Preacher curls and EZ bar curls…. It was insane. 

My trainer killed me though he wasn't there in person. Am very anxious to see how I feel tomorrow when I wake up. 

Am so sore can’t even flex ... feel my arms are going to fall off. But hey am OK with it ... I love being sore after workout … Back on the grind with workout and eating better.

It's About To Get Crazy ...


I guess when you see yourself every day, you don’t realize how much you have change. 
I am not who I was in the photo on the left am not talking about outside appearance, but on the inside as an individual. I finally have embraced who I was born to be. I love and accept me.

I live life with purpose, passion and wake up blessed regardless of my circumstance. I respect and value myself. For the first time in my life, I feel like I am on the right path. I am right where I need to be. I am optimistic about my future. 

For me, this CHRISTMAS is a polar opposite to the last Christmas. I thank God that this past year I was given my freedom from all relationships and things that brought me down. I was given the opportunity to discover who BAMBI was meant to be all along. I also have the courage to be her, no holding back. That is the greatest gift I received. I am feeling so very blessed this Christmas, I can’t even wait to see what next year has in store. 

It’s about to get crazy and I’m so down for the ride….STAY UP AND STAY BLESSED
